Language Use at the UIB

In accordance with the 2017-2020 UIB Language Plan, the Language Policy Unit produced the Language Use at the UIB survey in the 2018-2019 academic year. It covers the three groups within the academic community: Teaching and Research Staff (PDI), Admin and Services Staff (PAS) and Students.

The survey collected data on use (oral and written) of the following languages: Catalan, as the official and autochthonous language of the Balearic Islands and UIB, as set out in the UIB Statutes; Spanish, as the official language of Spain; and English, as an international lingua franca.

The data are restricted to undergraduate programmes.
